This Working Mom

I began this blog having already spent a great deal of time working on my children and ensuring they had a happy, healthy life.  Things don’t always work out the way you expect, no matter how hard you try, but I was organic, cleaned mainly with products claiming to be eco-friendly, and I was conscious of decisions I made for my home.  I did exercise when I was able, and I knew that I should be eating better.

After a lot of trial and error, I have finally narrowed down the focus of this blog.  That, in itself, sort of introduces me to you.  I am a person who likes to have order, but has to work hard to achieve it.  While working hard takes time, energy and determination, it does yield some wonderful results.  I have begun to create the organic, Eco-friendly, family oriented home I desire.  Organization is s-l-o-w-l-y becoming a part of our family life, and juggling full-time work, kids, Hubby and me time is getting a little easier.  I have broken down my goals into the following:

Better Life:

  • Eco-friendly house
  • Eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaners
  • Organization (green as I can)
  • Eco-friendly products/furniture

Happy Family:

  • Organic food/Family meals
  • Fun activities
  • Routines and chores
  • Books to enjoy
  • Family fitness
  • Healthy relationships

Healthy, Happy Mom:

  • Organic food
  • Fitness
  • Mindful moments
  • Treat myself sweet

A lot of this blog will look at ways to keep the whole family healthy..after all, that is what we all strive to do. But I’m also looking at how we, as moms, can ensure we can keep up with it all by looking after ourselves too. I am not claiming scientific certainty in my ideas…please read the Disclaimer, but I think it will be fun to document my adventures in healthy mommy-hood.
